I am visiting my parents in Toronto, and will be returning Be'ezras Hashem
on Sunday, July 19. I will periodically be picking up messages from my
telephone (973-591-6876) and checking my email (aaroncohen18 at gmail.com), but
if there is an issue that requires a prompt response, it is best to contact
one of the other Rabbonim in Passaic while I am away. If needed, the Shul
office has the telephone number in Toronto.

A common question regarding Shiva Asar Bi'Tammuz is whether pregnant or
nursing women need to fast. In my opinion, generally women who are pregnant
or nursing do not need to fast on Shiva Asar Bi'Tammuz. The Halacha
regarding Tisha B'Av is more stringent, and I plan to send an email closer
to that date.
