In prior years the Shul has managed to sustain itself due to generous donations from members and non-members who benefit from the many services that Tifereth has to offer. At the present economic time, when everyone is struggling, our shul is also suffering immensely. We have multiple bills that are past due, needed repairs that are being postponed due to cost and other expenses. Our membership fees, like that of many shuls cover less than half of the general operating expenses of the Shul, which has been cut dramatically to cope with the economic crisis. The Shul accepts donations via check or credit card. Donations can be made online from the Shul website tifereth-passaic.org . If you prefer, the donation can be made in someone's honor or memory or depending on the contribution amount made, we have some dedication opportunities that are still available in our Beis Hamedrash. As we do each year, we make an appeal for the shul at Kol Nidre. I consider this appeal one of the most important appeals of the year as it helps the shul sustain itself as membership alone does not provide enough for the shul. If you will be davening with us this Yom Tov I ask that you participate in our appeal and be generous with your pledge.
