[Tif-mail] Health Fair this Sunday - Hatzolah of Passaic/Clifton EMS and Bikur Cholim of Passaic-Clifton

Well, it's that time of year again.  Summer is almost upon us, and that
means it's time for the Bikur Cholim of Passaic-Clifton and Hatzolah of
Passaic/Clifton's 3rd Annual Community Wide Health and Safety Fair!

Once again, we are proud to offer free health screenings and
opportunities to speak with health professionals in various fields of
specialty.  

Whether you want to check out a funny looking spot on your tooth, get
tested for diabetes or have your child's hearing or vision checked, our
health fair is the place to be.  Our fair will showcase more than 40
exciting and informative booths, filled with information about every
aspect of health and safety you can imagine.  Want sound advice about
vitamins? Treatment for addictions?  CPR basics?  Home security systems?
Weight loss and nutrition? Cleaning products?  Fire prevention? It's all
there - under one roof -and all free of charge. 

We will offer free blood pressure, diabetes, vision,  pulmonary
function, depression, hearing, scoliosis, and body mass index
screenings. We will also have Hatzolah ambulances, police cars, a fire
truck, and vehicles from the Passaic county Sherriff's Department for
your children to explore and touch.  

The fair is both an extremely fun and educational event and makes a
perfect Sunday outing for families, adults, and kids of all ages.  

With over 2,000 attendees last year, the biggest problem was space!  So
this year, we are renting additional space and offering more
entertainment show-times so everyone can be "wowed" by Great Scott the
Magician (3:00PM) and Small Wonder Puppet shows (2:30PM and 3:15PM).  

Get your taste buds ready for Atara Weisberger's 4:00 PM workshop
entitled, "Healthy Food Choices Your Kids Will Love".  You will enjoy
recipe handouts, tips, and free samples -YUM!  

And get your creative juices flowing with Abbey Wolin, from Little
Masters Art Studio, who will join us to conduct health and safety themed
arts and crafts workshops for children at 1:30 and 2:00 PM.  

We are also proud to present internationally acclaimed speaker Rabbi Eli
Glaser CNWC, Founder and Director of SOVEYA, who will conduct a workshop
at 1:30 PM entitled, "A Torah Response to the Obesity Epidemic in the
Jewish Community."   He will address the causes of and solutions to this
problem for both children and adults.

Seriously folks, this is one event you will not want to miss! There will
be tons of take- home items like balloons and safety themed coloring
books, the brand new Bikur Cholim cookbooks will be available for
purchase and there will even be a limited supply of free
smoke-detectors, bicycle helmets for only $5 each and gift card
give-aways to local merchants. But most importantly, you might learn
something that could save a life.  See you on June 6th from 1:00-5:00 PM
at  Bnos Bracha (Yeshiva K'tana Girls School), 181 Pennington Avenue,
Passaic, NJ
