is upon us and in past years, Hatzolah has unfortunately been quite busy
answering calls for help when men and boys get drunk and fall
unconscious. Last year, after bringing two heavily intoxicated patients
to the Emergency Room within 10 minutes of each other, an ER nurse asked a
Hatzolah member, "When are they closing the bar at this party?"</span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=2 face=Calibri><span style='font-size:11.0pt'> </span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=2 face=Calibri><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>The
“bar” should close before it opens for many! There are boys
who drink on Purim strictly because of the obligation to drink “ad
d’lo yoda,” until one cannot distinguish between cursing Haman and
blessing Mordechai. Unfortunately, many of these boys go way beyond and
don’t understand how even a little bit of alcohol can affect their minds
and motor skills. </span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=2 face=Calibri><span style='font-size:11.0pt'> </span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=2 face=Calibri><span style='font-size:11.0pt'>And

adults to partake even of small amounts of alcohol and of the catastrophic

The consequences? Yehuda Aryeh Mond died at 19 ½ years
of age! His parents started the Yehuda Mond Foundation to educate us on
the dangers of even a little bit of alcohol. </span></font></p>
